While other manufacturers provide their filters with heat-resistant ceramic caps on both sides, Kailar (a start-up "Made in Germany") also thinks about the fine dust particles that can get into the lungs starting from the activated carbon particles. As great as the pollutant-filtering properties of activated charcoal are, this fine charcoal dust causes a not-so-pleasant taste.
The Kailar activated carbon filters therefore have a small piece of cellulose filter inside at both ends instead of ceramic caps. This catches the charcoal dust and, together with the activated charcoal, ensures a particularly gentle, cool smoking experience and the perfect draught.
